David Muir, an American journalist and anchor of the ABC News magazine 20, is best known as the co-anchor on World News Tonight With David Muir. With its animated gestures and intense videos of gossip about celebrities, his show has become the top-rated news program in America. Made In America, his Emmy Nominated show is another of his many accomplishments. Prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight he was the primary substitute anchor for the previous anchor Diane Sawyer. He was the anchor for numerous show specials during the primetime hours of ABC News some recent ones include Breaking Point: Heroin in America as well as Flashpoint: Refugees in America. He has reported on news across the world, including Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti. He was the winner of several Emmy Awards, Edward R. Murrow Honors and awards from the Associated Press.
